Summer 2019: I’m returning to teaching after taking a sabbatical to integrate my parents’ deaths, both of which I was present for. I’m grateful and privileged to have the time to take off, and I’m looking forward to seeing you in class.
Greetings, Friend! I’m Katherine, aka Kayteezee, and I am a teacher of somatics, compassion practices, and sexuality education for adults. I create custom workshops, trainings and immersions, and I also work with people one-on-one and in small group settings.
I believe there is magic in how we show up for each-other: in the regulation of emotions, cultivation of compassion, integrity, and play.
I love to play and dance and make up songs and share my passions with others.
ChronicKatherine chronicles my adventures as a person with multiple chronic health conditions, including Sensory Processing Disorder, an Autoimmune Disorder, Functional Neurological Disorder (formerly known as Conversion Disorder), PTSD (from a toxic work environment), and Chronic Pain (from having a body).
I’m highly functional, primarily because I practice what I teach. For reals. I also genuinely despise the words ‘disorder’ and ‘disabled’… your mileage may vary, of course.
My curricula spans subjects from compassionate communication to using the body’s own pleasure to manage pain, negotiate for need, and self-awareness.
